Plain-language version of what this site is not.

Not a forecast. Dates are modeled from 30-year climate normals — statistics about a typical year. Any specific year can run weeks early or late; the live widget exists precisely because of that.

Not safety or health advice. Nothing on this site addresses whether water is safe, sanitary, or suitable for swimming, and no date or estimate here should be read as such a claim. We make no representations about water quality — testing guidance, local codes, and common sense own that territory.

Not chemical dosing advice. We intentionally publish zero dosages. Every chemical mention on this site defers to the product label: its dose, for your volume, applied as it directs. If a label and this site ever seem to disagree, the label is right.

Not equipment instructions. Winterizing and startup steps are the standard general sequence; your pump, filter, heater, and cover manufacturers' manuals take precedence over anything written here.

Not professional service. Reading a website is not a substitute for a qualified pool professional when you have damage, leaks, electrical issues, or any situation you're unsure about.

What the site is: a documented, reproducible calendar model over public climate data, built to help you plan maintenance timing. Its assumptions and error bars live on the methodology page; its data credits on sources; its legal terms on terms.
